DEFINING YOUR GOALS
It is no more a surprising or new spark under the heaven of
how people go through the normal activities of making new year
resolutions,redesigning of pathways and undertakings whether for group
achievement or otherwise and perhaps even so the religious often conduct self
examinations of their past with a view to correcting any short coming in other
to improve on their lifesytles in all ramifications.There is always that desire
to draw nearer to God and to expect more abundant blessings in return.
Workers in various offices look forward to elevation in
their different places of work and for stability in the country in order to experience boom.Policy-makers and
politicians plot and scheme in order to entrench themselves in power.
Students look forward to another exciting year,which should
in the course of time usher them into new classes,in fact the list is endless.
But however all these undertakings and desires are goals to
be achieve.However though the intentions behinds this goals are usually noble
and edifying, but one issue which has continued to remain baffling is why a
good many of them are soon forgotten or not fulfilled.As we are of the same
image of God,failed goals and
aspirations need not to be our lot if they are asked according to the will of
God so long as the foundation of actualizing these goals had been laid,for if
you commit your ways unto God,trust also in Him; then He shall bring them to
pass.
It is certain that without God we can do nothing.If we do
not put God in our plans we are bound to derail along the way.God alone has
the blueprint for every man’s life and is particularly concerned that we attain
the lofty goals He has set for us.If only we can abide with the principles and
standard He has laid down for us to live by,the principles of successful living.These
are anchor for us to hinge our resolutions;
Firstly it is important to define what success means to your
self.clearly define your goal,pinpoint it.Be sure that your goal is in harmony
with God’s desire for you.For example don’t make the mistake of having only
material success as your goal:God want a lot more for you than superficial
material wealth,He want real wealth for you,the wealth of life that is
successful in all its aspect:-economic,social,spiritual,intellectual,physical.it
is His desire to give you real riches.Don't underestimate the good things that
God want for you and will give you if you will only learn to receive .
Secondly be a connected fellow in all ramification of life
as in,connect your self to friends,people who are sure evidence of success to
your life in a nutshell,avoid to be isolated from people both individually and
otherwise because isolation is a certain negative mercenary to bury fresh and
reproductive dreams.And perhaps believe and do not over believe in your self
because no man is an island.
Besides to maintain your success with poise and without
tension,learn to share.Share your success liberally with others.Teach others
how to think positively,how to achieve the same results with their lives as you
did with yours.In this way you will be guaranteeing the continued flow of
creative ideas in and around you.
And study untill you really grasp the life changing power of
the truth that you can precondition your own success.Paint a picture of your
self as succeeding and hold that picture ever before you,and it will
materiailize.With positive thinking you can actually change the condition of
your life.
Lastly bring God into a central place in your thought
pattern.Pray, seek His guidance,strive to bring your effort into harmony with
His teaching.
Use these five principles steadily and regularly in your
life, and success-the true success of bountiful living –will be yours.Start
now to precondition your mind to success.
