At the meeting, the divisional commissioner Bode Oyeyipo spoke of the initial division’s assumption to host the 2018 founder’s day but
since there was late preparation for it from the division it has to be left to
the mainland local association to carry on, on it .However, the district
commissioner, Monday monye warned that the act of two “L.A” presenting in the
divisional meeting while the others are not present is disloyalty and it falter
every effort. Weighing in on the development,
the divisional commissioner, Bode
Oyeyipo has said it’s been the reason
for slowdown in the division. According to him the issue is ethically wrong.
The discussion swung back to divisional programs
and there were suggestions on whether to take on funborine or pioneering.
Though we plan but the state headquarters is not carrying us along in their
plan said but nevertheless, let us just keep on with our work, A. Div.Com, Macaulay
Shomide said in his words, it’s a matter of quick planning and venue security.
If this can be realized then a sub camp would be created to work along .Part of
planning idea he mentioned are: to put up an early letter to the ministry of youth
for venue, though we would provide generator and D.C Monday buttress it would
also do good to invest the former minister of youth and sport, Mr. Peter….
It was partly suggested to make request to three or
more places for venue to avoid flop and if all respond in our favor, we could
just write back a letter of appreciation and tell them that a venue is secured.
And once venue is secured, appeal letter should sail along simultaneously.
Another advice is attendance. Let us try to attend
the L.A meetings. We are not saying you should not support your district but
it’s a good thing to carry them along even if it’s once or twice. And we can as
well write the N.G.O’S CORPORATE BODIES or any representative of any organization
to do donations in kind i.e. rice, garri, etc. Good example of such approach
ADIDE STORE, it was confirmed that he is an invested Scout patron. Also to
write federal science and technical college at yaba, opposite yaba college of
technology, Saint Paul at Apapa road ebute meta.
Commissioner’s camp is to be planned by the
Mainland Scout as agreed and the Div.Com reacted that he had asked state headquarter to give him till the month of march to
scrutinize to know if the division will be able to come up with it or not. “But I
had confessed aforetime to the state to take over the program because I presumed we are not fit
for the task for now, we are still baby, ”He stated.
From there Macaulay moved the motion of adjournment
of the meeting and it was seconded by Monday money. Closed 6:58pm
