the agreement- Kelvin Odiley, a tenant who signed up to have an apartment in Surulere coming from a self contain apartment located in mushin. Having met with the landlord and have had verbal discussion on the do's and the don't binding tenancy agreement between the landlord and the tenant about the living condition of the apartment and had accepted verbally on the discussion suddenly ceased to sign the agreement prepared by the landlord lawyer because his expectation that the rent will be increase until after six years in not put in the agreement and that he want it stated in the tenancy agreement, he stressed further that the land lady previuosly stated that to him and it was the reason he choose to move on with his renovations he mentioned to carry out, but the land lady response was no, i never said that to you, when how do i tell you that why didn't you request that in written the landlady accused him, he said; no you said so to me , it became argument between the two parties but Kelvin who failed to write a formal letter stating that he would be carrying out renovations in some affected part of the apartment which were agreed upon in a verbal discussion and was asked to be put in writing but failed only to show up with a paper list itemizing what and what he wanted to fix, which was equally narrated to him from the begining.
So for the negligence Kelvin, was barred to gain entrance into the apartment hence except from the compound of the said property pending when the issue will be resolved between the two parties. The argument went on even when the land lady lawyer was called upon to intervene yet the young man stood still on his demand then the landlord withdrew finally from letting the place to Kelvin Odiley and was asked to put the apartment back to how he met it. The Kelvin also brought in a lawyer to meet with the landlord and her lawyer claiming that she must give the six years but despite the effort of the landlord lawyer by educating Kelvin about what the Federal government of Nigeria law state about landlord rent increament terms and how he may get a reconsideration by the provision of an MOU but at that point Mr Kelvin was already blown up and lost in the cloud of boiling temper so he could not hear the information of the good will offer prepared for him but nagging on the six years and that got the landlord triggered to say she is no more interested to have Kelvin Odiley

And he was asked to stop the ongoing renovation already initiated and have to remove and replace all broken part and fittings he had done-but they were not properly fixed at the end of the day,imagine a wash hand basin having no service pipe to transport water for use, to keep the apartment the way he met it became story for the god's. After all said and done by all members of every party, Kelvin Odiley forfeited the apartment and the agency fees already paid to the housing agent plus all expenses paid to the artisans who were engaged by him. HIs money was transferred back to him of course not the full amount he paid and the landlord keys to the apartment and the compound with receipt of payment were all return to the landlord through the legal counsel to Kelvin.-This is a lesson learnt in the hard way.

Why? Where is Aluta continua and the victoria ascerta? its like they have become toothless dogs or they perish even when they try to bark or bite since they know that our politicians have cross borders and the atlantic oceans to procure sophisticated machine guns and weapons for the police to kill anything that raises any street kind of movement by the people for the people who are very concerned to seek redress of the inflation but if so be the order of this days, no problem- as though there is nothing but there are plenty yawahs already, though they have those sophisticated weapon, the mouth and the teeth of the masses to bark and bite may not be sophisticated enough to withstand but here in Africa there is God of blackism, the African Gods also and the God of nemesis, the God of the universe. Repercusion!. a friend said in a joint discussion that got started by seeing somebody passing and got to talking about the fellow who he knows very well as one of the strong man of the environment in the area who is a motor driver taskman in a commercial motor garage at Ojuelegba area in Lagos, he said this one fellow is used to be a big body man but now he is very thin and nothing to show forth of course such is life and liken the story to a popular politician of the ruling party, a boss in the NURWT who is very rich and how money flows unto him, he said, the Agbero boss are the ones living large but the ones on the local level most time end up rough but nemesis play back at them in a way that only nature can explain. He tried to explain it in this way saying it could be on any of their fourth or fifth generation siblings who will go about on their feet carrying their fore father's big name,walking on their feet on the high ways and children of nobody background will drive luxurious cars pass them,'-that an irony of life' and end his story with a sermon saying whoever you are ,where ever you are remember there is God. It shall be one day the appointed day, soonest it shall be a leakage and the weapons will leak to the hands of the masses and the unexpected will blow up similar to the horrible scene of the nineteen sixties, if care is not taken promptly. The Nigeria we used to know, here we were born, we grew up here and have no other home can't just suddenly turned to ache our head and stomach because of some set of people who tagged themselves with broaches claiming honorable, his/her excellency copy copying the foreign countries like America, Japan and China who had gone far far ahead of us thousands of years back before now, so now is when our politics want to leverage with them when we have not even woken up from our slumber talk-less being awake to stand at alert, imagine" the pride and confidence of a thief who was not instantly espouse before he get chance to accuse you of being the thief", that's their way, they throw us corn and get away with maize, they take our seeds and return with subsidy.At this point please we need a redress nevertheless a U-turn shall come one day either by divine, nature, or design, it shall surely be.
