CRIME AND CONTROL.

Henry ford once said, the only security that man would have in the world is a reserve of knowledge,experience and ability. The individual who refuse to seek ways to upgrade his skills and abilities and make himself increasingly valuable such are the one who resort to criminal behavior or violence of some kind to obtain what they are not entitled. 

But only those with character possessed with integrity and honesty who strongly will not compromise, come what may in any circumstances are able to control the desire to act expediently.        Every human has that in-born gene, it is rooted deep in human nature and the manifestation of this is seen in each person's desire both in honesty and dishonesty as they excessively keep at what they engage in for the money.                                                                                                                                           This is a normal, natural and ongoing process in life either for good or the bad. Humans are never satisfied; having more than enough to eat now does not mean you don’t have to work out for tomorrow. A hustling man never stop despite all he has, he will keep getting more. Rationally so it be that a criminal who engage in dishonest behavior cannot just quit once from stealing despite huge money and properties he has made away with because he would feel certain that he can always get away save again. This is the manifestation of the criminal gene in human.                     

                                                                                         

Dr Adesegun Babatunde Efunkoya in his speech advises the local government to wake up to the need of using the nation’s national resources to scale the ability of the youth generation in sport by putting the facility to use through locally organized follow up program and competitions immediately after the end of every national competitions, as this will increase the advantage of employment rate from 50 percent to 100 percent.

This year’s edition of Dr. A.A Efunkoya’s national cadet championship themed “shaping champions for the future generation” the benevolence spirit project carried over by Dr. Adesegun B. Efunkoya, the eldest son and his siblings, Remi Efunkoya, Ayokunle Efunkoya, Fola Efunkoya, and Dr. Akinwale Efunkoya, came together to continue their father’s legacy in using  table tennis sport to do the possible to encourage a vibrant business system that creates jobs, growth, hope and opportunity for more people who believe that the creation and maintenance of a prosperous society is the best way to provide for the greatest number of people. The goals were to mold the character of the benefactors, the youth from teenage age into a model state worthy of emulation.

This power expediency and the desire to get something at all cost is nowhere more obvious than in criminal behavior targeted at stealing, fraud, embezzlement, attempting to get something they are not entitled is in-born, everyone has the propensity to steal under the right circumstances but only a person who is mindful of the effect of cause and reaction can think higher and control this “gene predisposition”.

 The criminals always have justification in their mind for the crime they commit and reasons for committing it and most of which is for getting easy money. Categorically the people at the bottom of the character scale will steal at the first opportunity, they do not respect law and order neither have they respect for the property and individuals, and they don’t care about the common good of other fellow citizens.                                                                                                                        It is true that in a society where there is no law there cannot be offense. It is also true that criminal acts may be triggered by drugs, mental instability, alcohol, poverty and many other factors. Consequently poverty and economic instability may affect all in a society but this does not mean that a person should commit a crime to survive; after all there are many poor people who are honest.           In other words, criminal act involves a choice on the part of the criminal, but they chose to go by stealing to achieve their goals. In study it has been find that one element that exacerbates the temptation to engage in crime even the white-collar crime is criminal defense lawyers, and some other folks full of compassion, instead of seeing criminals as dangerous threat to the society they view them as innocent victims of poverty and other social circumstances.                                                                                           But in the real sense of it that is irrational more so if karma will not spare on the day of vengeance it does not count to handle criminal with levity. Therefore the only way to be in control and reduce criminality is by quick and sure punishment combined with longer prison sentences.                                    

The lasting solution to criminal activity is to continually raise the cost of committing a crime.
