The long-term shut down of the Surulere Lagos State National stadium could also invariably trigger economy melt down. The problem was created by the government of yesterday to force skilled workers out of the labor force, slamming the door of opportunity in their faces. It is anti- social and unacceptable to have left this facility in the present state it is unturned till this very day and the decision to unlock the shutdown is like a bill nobody want to say yes to which is subject to the E-factors of some folks, some of the governing bodies of the youth and sport ministry of Nigeria government from the federal and the state level.
Perhaps the primary consideration of growth in the economy at all levels must be to provide public facilities for all citizens. A society can have as much, or as little boosted economy as it wants just by increasing or decreasing the probability of providing the basic civil need of the society.
Though there is no single sign to note certainly when the stadium will be refurbished or reopened official for sporting activities but the hope some holds is that someday resuscitation must be.
The crude turnout of the crowd to the stadium on weekend
days mainly Saturdays and Sundays, is noted to be that the turnout is largely driven
by the individual need to keep at the chosen sport they believe would definitely expose them to
opportunities that can bring them high financial reward and otherwise through competitions nationally and internationally.
Speaking with Kingstonco blogger, a one-time store owner in the stadium premises, Mr. Chinaka from Enugu state, lament that the use of the facility has now loss respect. 👉 Click to hear Chinaka speech
