The purpose of photography may be to portray objects and events realistically or to elicit an emotional response. But the ultimate meaning of a photograph may be altered by differences in the way the picture is made.
The weather, for instance, or the time of day can affect the subject being photographed. The point of view or type of lens chosen by the photographer can make one object seem larger or smaller in relation to the size of other object. The photographer directs or divert the viewer's attention by choosing what is to be included or excluded from within the camera's field of view.
The photographer's use of light may mean the difference between a natural looking picture or one that appear contrived.Light can make the scene appear bright and happy, its absence can make it appear dark and sad or mysterious.when light is allowed to fall on one part of a subject, people tend to pay more attention to that part of the photograph.
Our responsibility as a photographers is to use our technical knowledge and creativity to make images that will be of greatest interest and significance to the poeple who see them.In doing so we can satisfy ourselves because making photographs that communicate to others can be an active, satisfying experience.
THE BEST PICTURES ARE MADE BY THOSE PHOTOGRAPHERS WHO FEEL SOME EXCITEMENT ABOUT LIFE AND USE THE CAMERA TO SHARE THEIR ENTHUSIASM WITH OTHERS.THE CAMERA IN SUCH HANDS IS A COMMUNICATING VITAL EXPERIENCE.
