Drug/substance abuse is a contemporaneous issue. It is a global phenomenon and billions of money spent by nations of the world to fight the scourge of this menace which has destroyed the lives and careers of many youth, have made little or no impact. Likewise the medical therapy and rehabilitation of drug victims have not yielded much results. There is therefore an urgent need for a paradigm shift to begin to examine the problems of drug abuse from spiritual perspectives not undermining the physical causes though. 

This book gave a critique analysis of drug/substance abuse and addiction from both the spiritual and physical perspectives.It also delves into the major causes of drug, cycle and dangers of drug abuse and how a drug dependent person can obtain freedom.
