It is an unforgettable experience being at the 2021 edition of all Africa music award “AFRIMA” at Eko hotel and suites was the perfect place. I decided to check it out myself being the last day out. And really I had a delightful experience that end’s with a big bang performance by the “Banj – the KOKO master” that upsurge the crowd with a sweetly emotion asking for more from him but there was no time, and pleasant sight of elegant guests, friends and strangers striking conversations, exchanging business cards and laughing heartily. It was lovely having different art performances from all over Africa on stage where “Wizkid” got the award of the best hip-hop artist of the year, Dione sius,unity limited from America also got award of the best art and others with award of best art one after the other. “Afrima” is the project of authentic idea of the modest fusion art of African music with a force to garner the best of what African art and culture should be, showcasing the potentials than was the case in the past as the industry is growing with appreciation and celebration. The event was eventually “open up” by the evening of the day by various artists, and guests on the red carpet where the likes of Patoranking spoke with the media with flashes of different photo shots but there was a barrier of taking shot in the main hall of the event. Furthermore hinderance set up against penetration of the press from the exit to the main hall made by the organizer after the red carpet was a landfall so little is known of the stage .But the potential riches of this project designed to bring people of all walks of life together to celebrate African musical cultural heritage and have fun,had been established, though the pandemic is still very unclear yet there was ambiance of joyful excitement at Eko hotel and suites in the heart of Victoria Island in Lagos, as the project continue to grow.
